Signs - permission and prohibition

Look at the slideshow and decide what the signs say you can or can't do. Then look at the suggested sentences below. Remember that there may be different ways of expressing the same idea!

 

  1. You can't enter.
  2. You can't park here on Wednesdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  3. You can only enter if you are an employee (or You can't enter, unless you are an employee).
  4. Disabled people can park here anytime.
  5. You can't use your mobile phone.
  6. You can't enter when the light is on. (or You can enter if the light is off.)
  7. You can pay by Visa or Mastercard. (or You can pay by credit card.)
  8. You can't bring your dog here. (or Assisting dogs can enter.)
  9. You can't take photos.
  10. You can't smoke.
  11. You can't smoke, drink or eat here.
  12. If you don't have an authorization, you can't drive your car beyond this point.
  13. You can't use this road.
  14. Only new and expectant mothers can park here.
  15. You can't walk on the grass.
