Welcome to our wiki!

This is where you are going to find activities and suggestions on how to improve your English.

Visit our blog:  http://projectplatypus2.blogspot.com

What is a wiki?

A wiki is an easy-to-use webpage where many people can create content, edit each other's texts and work in collaboration. You  don't need to know anything about computer or internet language (like html), because wikis use text editors that are similar to the one you have in your own computer (like Word, for example).

You can also add pictures, power-point like presentations and other types of files, and share them with other people.

By the way, the word 'wiki' is a Hawaiian word meaning 'quick'. The most famous site using this type of technology is Wikipedia, the online encyclopaedia that anyone can edit. If you want to know more about wikis, click here.

What can I find on this wiki?

Here you are going to find grammar, vocabulary and other activities to complement our blog posts. You can download the activities into your computer, print or simply try some of them online. The writing activities, for example, can be edited by you or any other student.

You can also post your texts and ask other students to help you edit it, suggest improvements, make changes, etc.

How can I edit the wiki page?

In order to have access to editing, you need to have the wiki's password. Write me an e-mail message and I will send it to you.

Then, if you're not sure how to use the text editor, click on "Tutorials" on the SideBar on the right-hand side of this page and follow the instructions. Alternatively, you can click here to go to the tutorials page.

If you have any questions, send me a message and I will help you go through the instructions. My e-mail is platypusmail@gmail.com
